Muse is located in southwestern Glades County and was largely homesteaded in the early days of the century. The beauty of the natural woodland has attracted many newcomers, building homes in this rural area. Muse is home to the new K-8 West Glades School. The community has its own volunteer fire department and an active community association that recently cut the ribbon on their new facility, which can be a hurricane shelter, if that need should arise.  Muse is the fastest growing area of Glades County and the closest municipality to LaBelle and the Babcock Ranch. Muse Village, a recently approved 3500 unit community, is currently being developed.
