The long, linear Harney Pond Canal Recreation Park offers several points of access to Harney Pond Canal, which leads boaters to Lake Okeechobee. The Florida Trail passes through it en route to Lakeport. Hike along the canal and watch for birds, jog or bicycle down the path, visit the boardwalk with a scenic overlook over the marshes and lake, spend time fishing off the deck or banks, or make use of the boat ramp. Restrooms are available at this site, which is just south of the intersection of SR 78 and CR 721 in Lakeport, near the Lakeport Lodge.
