If you’re looking for a getaway where the live oaks droop low and the Spanish moss waves in the breeze along a cypress-lined waterway, then head to Fisheating Creek Outpost. Weekdays are certainly the quiet days along this lazy creek, as the campground is popular on weekends. RV sites are clustered around a bathhouse/laundry area, along with a handful of cabins, and the best primitive campsites are along the creek, downstream from the camp store. The livery service runs shuttles and offers canoe rentals, or you can bring your own and put in for a $2 day use fee.
