Dyess Ditch Recreation AreaHistorically known as Big Bare Beach as pioneers moved into the frontier around Lake Okeechobee, Dyess Ditch was once a launch point for commercial fishing operations before the Herbert Hoover Dike was built. The recreation area now offers a boat ramp and bank fishing.
