Water structure at Buckhead RidgeBuckhead Ridge, in northern Glades County near the Okeechobee County line, is home to nearly 2,500 year round residents of all ages with an influx of another 1,500 winter visitors who stay in the three RV Parks and one motel located in the community.

Because of the community’s convenience to county boat ramps and parks, Buckhead Ridge has always been a popular choice for bass tournament participants, duck hunters and vacationers throughout the calendar year.

Just south of the Kissimmee River is the Angler's Waterfront Motel, a sixteen unit motel with all the comforts of home, which also offers access to Lake Okeechobee. Or check out the Buckhead Ridge Marina which offers RV sites, rentals as well as wet and dry dock storage for boaters and a charming waterfront restaurant area currently not in operation.

Buckhead Ridge is also home to the annual Winter Festival, which is celebrated the last Saturday in January each year.
