PrintE-mail

One of five major reservations in the state of Florida, the Brighton Seminole Reservation encompasses 35,805 acres, most of which is used for ranching and farming. Established in 1938, it has a population of less than 400 full-time residents and sits amid the vast prairies to the west of the Kissimmee River.

If you’re looking for an RV site near fine dining and gaming establishments, The Brighton Seminole Campground and RV Park features camping for RVs and tents. Amenities include a swimming pool and a golf course, as well as a stocked private pond for fishing.

The Brighton Campground is near the Seminole Casino at Brighton, which offers bingo, slot machines and Las Vegas style games like blackjack and baccarat. The Brighton Casino is also home to the Josiah Restaurant and Lounge, one of the premier dining establishments in Glades County.

Brighton hosts the annual Brighton Field Day and Rodeo, held on the third weekend of February. The Saturday activities include a parade, alligator wrestling, traditional dances, Indian dress and jacket shows, and many more events. In addition to the activities, there are many crafts and traditional food booths open. A professional rodeo is held on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon
